Description
Here, are some pointers to know about our product Uni-Acne Gel.
Key Benefits
This product is ideal for acne-prone, oily, and congested skin. It is a keratolytic agent, meaning it helps to remove dead skin cells and clear blocked pores.
1. Unclogs Pores and Prevents Acne
-
Salicylic Acid (2%) is a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) that penetrates into the pores and dissolves excess oil and debris, preventing blackheads, whiteheads, and pustules.
2. Reduces Inflammation and Redness
-
Salicylic acid has anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe active acne and reduce swelling and redness.
3. Exfoliates Dead Skin Gently
-
Promotes skin cell turnover, helping fade acne marks, rough texture, and dullness without harsh physical exfoliation.
4. Controls Oil (Sebum) Production
-
Helps balance excessive oil, making it especially useful for oily or combination skin types.
5. Improves Skin Texture Over Time
-
With consistent use, it can result in smoother, clearer, and more refined-looking skin.
Possible Side Effects
While salicylic acid is generally well tolerated in 2% concentration, some individuals may experience irritation, especially when starting use.
1. Dryness, Peeling, or Flaking
-
Most common side effect, especially if over-applied or used with other drying products (like retinoids or benzoyl peroxide).
2. Redness or Burning Sensation
-
Especially during initial use or on sensitive skin.
-
Usually temporary, but may require reducing application frequency.
3. Skin Irritation or Allergic Reaction (Rare)
-
Symptoms: Rash, itching, swelling, or severe peeling.
-
If symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
4. Sun Sensitivity
-
Salicylic acid may increase sensitivity to the sun.
-
It is highly recommended to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day.
